Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Slime in the Coconut collects when you shop at slimer.store, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain because we collect as little as we can.
Who we are
Slime in the Coconut ("we", "us") is a small, independent shop selling viral squishy and fidget toys, based in the USA. We sell physical products through this website. For any privacy question, email contact@slimeinthecoconut.com.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to process and ship it:
- Contact & shipping details — your name, email address, and shipping address.
- Order details — the items you bought, quantities, and amount paid.
Your payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe collects it directly on its secure checkout and shares only confirmation and the details above back with us.
If you create an optional goo account, we store your email address (used only to send you sign-in links) and your saved Collection so it can follow you across devices. The store works fully without an account.
If you also tick the optional "drops & deals" box, we'll send occasional product emails (new drops, sales). That's separate consent: it's off by default, every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch it off anytime in your account drawer.
Your shopping cart, Collection, and game preferences are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device; the cart is not sent to us until you start checkout. We also record anonymous, first-party usage signals (which products get viewed, added to carts, or searched) to decide what to stock and feature — these contain no name, email, or address.
How we use it
- To process, fulfill, and ship your order, and to send order-related email.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To handle returns, refunds, and warranty issues.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We use Google's advertising measurement (described under Cookies & tracking) to know when our ads lead to a sale, but we never hand Google your name, email, address, or card details.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the partners needed to complete your order:
- Stripe — to process payments. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Fulfillment & shipping partners — some items ship directly from our manufacturing or supply partners. We pass them your name and shipping address so they can pack and ship your order. Some of these partners are located outside your country.
- Authorities — if required by law, or to protect our rights.
Because we use partners in different countries (including the United States), your information may be processed internationally.
Cookies & tracking
We keep tracking to the minimum needed to run the shop:
- Google ads measurement — our pages load the Google tag (gtag.js), which sets Google advertising cookies. If you arrive from one of our Google ads and later buy something, it reports that purchase's total and an order reference to Google so we know the ad worked. It does not give Google your name, email, address, or payment details. Google describes its use of this data in its advertising policies, and you can adjust ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
- Stripe — checkout uses Stripe's own cookies for security and fraud prevention.
- Sign-in cookie — if you use the optional goo account, a cookie keeps you signed in on your device. It exists only for that purpose.
We run no other third-party analytics or social trackers, and our own usage signals are anonymous and first-party only.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill the order and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the UK/EU under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these, email contact@slimeinthecoconut.com and we'll respond within the time the law requires. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Our store is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
